“Engaging Studdiford Technical Solutions as part of the project team was critical to the successful baggage system upgrade at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Their technical and regulatory knowledge and expertise of baggage handling systems was evident from our very first encounter. Larry (Studdiford) and Bill (Mazzabufi) were excellent to work with and look forward to the next opportunity with Studdiford Technical Solutions as part of our team at Gateway.”

“I am happy to report that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at BWI, in their Annual Honorary Awards Ceremony, awarded a Team Award to the D/E Project Team. “Bill (Mazzabufi) brings a lot of experience to the Team and provides allot of technical solutions to the unique problems we encounter. Bill has good CB/EDS experience, but where he stands out among our other team members is in BHS design. Many of our standalone design projects have actually included BHS work and Bill has shown real strength when it comes to this area.
A perfect example was design support for EAR. TSA HQ asked our team to get involved with providing consulting services for the new terminal design. The design Bill produced showed big flaws in the airport’s A&E design (which was already at 90% complete) due to previously proposed belt sizes, operations, and BHS power-turn requirements (clearly SMEs were not included in the original design efforts). With the airport’s design unfortunately being at 95%, we were told structural elements could not be changed. Bill was still able to provide better alternative solutions which in the end would still save the airport money.
Our team relies on Bill to bring technical solutions to the customer’s problems and Bill has consistently stepped up to the challenge. Our customer has been gaining confidence in the STRENGTH of this standalone team and Bill has been a great part of that!”

“Larry (Studdiford), I am writing to thank you for your time and insights on emerging issues in our industry in advance of ACRP’s Oversight Committee meeting, which took place on February 2, 2021. At the meeting, we shared your thoughts and ideas on these issues, and the AOC was immensely grateful for your involvement in the process and the findings it yielded. I know airports face many challenges today, some of which we couldn’t predict. But with the help of thought leaders like you, ACRP is now better equipped to help airports prepare for and overcome the emerging issues of tomorrow.”

“Just wanted to say that we’ve really appreciated your experience and insights in the TSA review process [on behalf of the Chicago Department of Aviation]. I think that the very good review comments and practical approach you and your team gave during the 70% review process has gotten us to a point where have a cleaner path to the 70% TSA Acceptance and onto the 100% TSA Package. Anyhow, I hope you have a great holiday and Happy New Year and look forward to continuing to work with you.”
