STS’s Ryan Crews Named one of Airport Business Magazine’s 2023 Top 40 Under 40

Studdiford Technical Solutions, LLC (STS) Project Manager Ryan Crews has been recognized as one of Airport Business Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2023. Ryan is a crucial member of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport BHS Improvements Program Team, where he works closely with airport, airline and federal government stakeholders. As the largest hub for American Airlines and one of the busiest airports in the world, DFW handles tens of thousands of bags per day, and the Improvements Program includes work in all 5 Terminals of the airport. “This is a very complex project, with more than 20 designers, consultants and contractors and many, many stakeholders. Ryan makes sure all of the pieces of the project are running smoothly,” comments Larry Studdiford, STS President.

Ryan has also led projects at Kansas City International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport. Ryan’s role on these projects was to help guide the BHS OEM through the TSA design process and ensure that the system was compliant with planning guidelines and design standards. According to Ryan, “While each project is unique, they all have one goal in mind: deliver passengers’ bags to the aircraft as quickly and as safely as possible. When you do that, you satisfy all stakeholders, whether it be the airport, airline or TSA.”

Ryan has been with STS for almost 4 of his 15 years in the field, and is a major asset to the team. As DFW program director Richard Spies noted, “Ryan has been such a valuable member of our team, hitting the ground running when he first joined us. I can’t imagine attaining the success we have had without him.”
